APPLICATION	For selective enrichment of Enterobacter sakazakii (Cronobacter spp.)
PRINCIPLE	Vancomycin can inhibit the synthesis of bacterial cell walls, mainly inhibiting the growth of Gram-positive bacteria, and has strong effects on Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pyogenes, Streptococcus pneumoniae, etc. It also has good effects on Clostridium difficile, Bacillus anthracis, Corynebacterium diphtheriae, etc. It has no cross-resistance with other antibiotics, and there are very few resistant strains.
