APPLICATlON: Used for the isolation and cultivation of Gram-positive cocci, it can also be used to prepare Columbia CNA blood agar (requires the addition of sterile defibrinated sheep blood).

PREPARATION | 1. Suspend 42.5 g in 1 L of distilled or deionized water. Heat with frequent agitation and boil to completely dissolve the powder. | |
2. Dispense into conical flasks, and autoclave it at 121 ℃ for 15min. At 45-50℃, add 5-10mL of sterile defibrinated sheep blood and 1 tube of matching reagent (SR0420) per 100mL of culture medium, mix well, and pour. | ||
