APPLICATION | Used for the colony counting of lactic acid bacteria in fermented beverages. | |
PREPARATION | 1. Weigh 36 g of the medium and dissolve it in 1 L of distilled or deionized water. Stir and heat the mixture to boiling until fully dissolved. 2. Dispense the solution into erlenmeyer flasks and autoclave at 121°C for 15 minutes. 3. Before use, add the supplementary reagents (one vial of vitamin K1 solution and one vial of hemin chloride solution) to every 100 mL of sterilized medium. |
