biocomma ® affinity chromatography column frit, hydrophilic frit shall be moistened by water solution.
Hydrophilic frit shall have unique advantages during filtration for water solution.
Left: hydrophilic frit, droplet fast penetrates into frit; right: hydrophobic frit, droplet fails to penetrate into frit, so it must be pressurized.
Special Optimization for Affinity Chromatography Column
Frit shall be positioned at top or bottom of sorbent to prevent leaking from expensive base material.
Special optimization for affinity chromatography column assures flow rate of 1-2ml/m or 1-2droplets/s under gravity method.
Meanwhile, after comparison between such frit and other same kind of product, this shall not absorb protein after introduction to hydrophilic base group. In addition, such hydrophilic base group is hard to create air bubble during operation, herein air bubble shall reduce flow rate and make uneven base material while liquid passes by.
Notice: Flow rate still closely relates with particulate diameter and its evenness for sorbent.
